Coronavirus Update
Posted on Jul 29th, 2020
COVID-19 has introduced us to phrases like shelter-in-place and social distancing which stand in stark contrast to everything community represents.
We thank you for your support and patience over the past few weeks as we closed amenities to help protect the health and safety of residents and team members. With the federal and state government beginning to ease COVID-19-related restrictions, we are excited to begin the process of re-opening amenities.
We plan for a gradual and phased approach to re-opening amenities that we believe will be the safest for all users and team members. This will also allow the community’s on-site management team to be properly trained and for each area of the amenities to be prepared for the COVID-19 related operating procedures. Please note that advancing from one phase to the next can only take place if state guidelines permit and the facility is properly prepared for the transition.

The re-opening of community amenities will be done in three phases and will include restrictions on numbers of users in a space/room, per state guidelines. Additionally, the board of directors have installed additional signage in the amenity center and “sanitation stations” are currently being sourced as well.
• Phase 1 – Saturday, May 16 – Outdoor Parks, Trails, and Sports Courts
o Due to the recent weather event, the Pickleball Courts and the two Bocce Ball Courts closest to the Pickleball Courts are inoperable. We do anticipate the repairs being made very soon as we are in the final stages of our claims process with the Community’s insurance company.

• Phase 2 – Monday, June 1 – Gyms, Movement Studios, Swimming Pool, Spa, and Restrooms (not locker rooms).
o There will be restrictions on occupancy limits, per Gov. Abbott’s Executive Orders. Information on those adjusted occupancy limits will be posted at each entrance and must be adhered to. Occupancy limits will also be monitored by team members and additional steps, such as reservations systems, etc. may be put in place to help mitigate this process.
• Phase 3 – TBD – Multi-Purpose Rooms, Conference Rooms, Great Rooms, Patio Areas, Large Meeting Rooms, and Locker Rooms.
We have already started the assessment and planning work for Phases 2 and 3. Updates will be provided as we get closer to implementing these next steps. Furthermore, to ensure the health and safety of everyone at Del Webb Union Park, we ask that homeowners continue to interact with the on-site team in a virtual fashion, however, should an in-person meeting be necessary, we ask that each homeowner contact the management office and schedule a meeting with our team members.
Our approach will be consistent with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines and implemented with the overarching goal of ensuring the health of residents and community staff.
Stay healthy and stay safe.
Sincerely,
Board of Directors
Del Webb at Union Park
